Vervet monkeys are true troublemakers of the African bush. They have a bad reputation as being considered a pest because, they often steal food or raid crops. This inquisitive behaviour is frowned upon and makes the vervet monkey a true nuisance neighbour. Yet, observe them in the bush and one becomes quite fond of them. Their curiosity and cheeky mannerisms are very similar to that of a child’s which, can often make for very humorous sightings. We fail to appreciate nature when it invades our space but, it was our human development that encroached on their wild territories.
